FACILITATED PLAY SESSIONS

All play sessions are facilitated by an Early Childhood trained teacher and parent guide. During each session the environment is carefully prepared to inspire natural and meaningful play for your child and helpful parent guidance relating to the early years of parenting. These classes are inspired by principles of respectful parenting and natural child development. The content is evidence based and includes content of the Educaring/Pikler Approach and the Montessori method.

INFANT CLASSES

(6-12 months)

The environment is purposefully set up to invite babies to master their movements & actively explore a variety of developmentally appropriate concepts. Parents are encouraged to relax & observe their babies at play. Parenting topics are covered each week along with the opportunity for questions and answers. Topics include: Baby milestone development, sleep, caregiving routines, baby play and toys.

TODDLER CLASSES

(12-24 months)

These classes allow active toddlers to direct their energy into free movement & active discovery of various concepts . They are safe to assert their independence & experiment with social interactions with their peers. Parents are encouraged to sit back & enjoy their toddlers at play. Topics include: understanding toddler conflicts, sleep, boundary setting, tantrums, toddler play, clear communication between parent and child.

NURTURED IN NATURE PLAYGROUPs (18MONTHS-4years)

These all weather outdoor classes invite children and parents to get out into the fresh air and engage with nature. These sessions will be run at local parks and beaches and will be set up with nature based activities and follow a set education structure including shared morning tea, stories and songs. Parent attendance & supervision is required at all times.

PLAY ENVIRONMENT SORT & SET

Our early childhood qualified play consultants assist you with:

  • Decluttering toys

  • Sorting toys in categories

  • Carefully preparing an orderly play environment specifically suited to the age and developmental stage of your child, including inviting presentation of play objects

  • Assist you in establishing a storage and rotation system, that will allow you to keep a neat and meaningful play space for your child\

  • A personalised play plan with suggested play objects and activities

EARLY PARENTING AND PLAY ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION

This online support forum aims to support parents navigating the early years. It is available to anyone who has purchased any of our services or online workshops for a monthly subscription of $9 per month. It includes:

  • Ongoing support in the principles of respectful parenting through:

  • Access to a members only area with helpful content relevant to parenting babies, toddlers and preschoolers

  • Access to our private Raise Early Parenting and Play Facebook group

  • Monthly Live Q&A’s- these sessions will be scheduled to cater to the frequently asked questions within the group and will allow various day to day scenarios to be discussed

  • Opportunities to ask questions and gain professional, evidence based principles relating to various early parenting, child development and play topics, such as:
